NG112: The Evolution of Emergency Services in Europe
Emergency communication systems are undergoing a major transformation driven by the evolution of communication technologies and the increasing digitalization of society. For decades, emergency services in Europe have relied primarily on the 112 emergency number, based...
Remember: Our NGeCall IVS device allows you to simulate incidents without the need for a real vehicle.
The new versions of TruePersona and BioVox are now available, significantly enhancing voice fraud detection, speaker identification and advanced audio analysis capabilities in mission-critical environments. TruePersona is CESTEL's solution for detecting voice...
Every year, millions of traffic accidents occur in Europe. Often, the speed at which emergency services receive information about an accident can make the difference between life and death. The eCall system was developed specifically to improve this aspect. ## What is eCall eCall is a system integrated into vehicles that automatically places a call to the emergency number in the event of an accident. The system is activated when the vehicle’s sensors detect a serious impact. ## What information the system transmits When an eCall is activated, the vehicle sends a set of data known as the Minimum Set of Data (MSD). This set includes: * vehicle location * direction of travel * vehicle type * time of the accident ## Benefits for citizens The eCall system reduces the time needed to alert emergency services. This can be especially important in situations where the vehicle occupants are unable to make a call themselves. ## Benefits for emergency services For emergency centers, eCall provides key information even before operators speak with the vehicle occupants. This allows them to prepare a response more quickly. ## Evolution toward Next Generation eCall The eCall system is evolving toward a new architecture called Next Generation eCall (NGeCall). This evolution will enable the use of IP networks and facilitate integration with NG112 systems. ## Conclusion eCall represents an important step toward smarter, more connected emergency systems. The transition to NGeCall will further enhance the capabilities of these systems.

What is a PSAP: Architecture and Evolution of Emergency Centers
PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points) are centers where emergency communications from citizens are received and managed. These centers play a fundamental role in emergency response systems. When a citizen dials the emergency number, the communication is routed to a...
What is a PSAP and how does an emergency response center work?
When a citizen calls the emergency number, the first point of contact is usually a PSAP (Public Safety Answering Point). A PSAP is a specialized center responsible for receiving, processing, and managing emergency calls. These centers are the operational core of...
How to modernize a PSAP toward Next Generation Emergency Communications
PSAPs (Public Safety Answering Points) are the operational core of emergency response systems. These centers receive emergency calls made by citizens and coordinate the resources needed to respond to incidents. However, many PSAPs were originally designed to handle...
